"I have found Love, Love has let Himself be seen!"
Dear parishioners,
About 10 years ago Kathy Ponder and I bumped into each other at the Church office. We got to talking about starting a quilting group. We’d heard that the ladies in Kimberling city gathered on Wednesdays, doing all kinds of projects. So we went over there to see what was happening. On our drive back we decided we would start some kind of group. We thought about quilting however it expanded into all kinds of crafting.
We gather every Wednesday from 9:00 till noon. There is a great spirit of community among us and we share our knowledge about different skills and life experiences! And Heaven knows we laugh and laugh and laugh!
Staff members have been known to check in on us because of the laughter coming from our happy voices! Fr. J. doesn't knit, he doesn’t crochet, and he doesn’t do embroidery. But he’s been known to lose a button once in a while and needs to have it sewed back on. When that happens, we will accommodate that!
If you’d like to join our group, we welcome you with open arms!
In addition to this wonderful, little group, we look to support the larger Branson community, we donate to Our Lady Cares. We also have some supplies to share in case you need help to get going! We are not accepting donations at this time.
What we have learned these last few years with the pandemic, is that community is vital. It’s a great lesson to learn and we extend our invitation to all. Come by and see us and join!
God bless,
Brenda Garden & Kathy Ponder
