Dorene Oesterreicher

Dorene Oesterreicher was born in Denver Colorado, was raised in a Catholic Family. Dorene has been married to a wonderful man for 43 years. They have four children, eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Dorene has worked with students that are at Risk and Special Needs for more than 30 years. She has been a facilitator for Faith Formation working with adults and children in RCIA and confirmation.

Her Formation has been ongoing, most of her training has been in Texas:

• Oblate School of Theology:
  • Certificate of Lay Leadership - April 2007
  • Certificate of Pastoral Lay Ministry - May 2009
• University of the Incarnate Word - 2009 to 2011:
  • Certificates: Theory and Methods of Catechesis, Introduction to Pastoral Studies, Christian Sacraments, and Basic Counseling Concepts for Pastoral Ministers.
• St. Peter Upon the Water:
  • Certificate in Formation of Spiritual Directors - September 2012 to June 2015
• Summer Institute at Oblate School of Theology
  • Ongoing Formation - Summers of 2015 to 2017

Dorene enjoys teaching Faith Formation, leading Bible studies, and doing Spiritual Direction. She also liked to set up Silent retreats at her last parish. Dorene and her husband retired from their careers in Boerne, TX, and moved to Branson in June of 2021. They love it here and they plan on staying because they are so close to our family now.

Dorene is looking forward to working with the parishioners at Our Lady of the Lake.
